This postcard shows the east entrance of the Hong Kong Pavilion (i.e., the gate tower), viewing from the ‘Praya’ outside the British Guiana Section. The postcard, printed with colour lithography based upon a black and white photo, provides us a rare record of the colours of the Hong Kong Pavilion. It clearly shows the green tile roof, the red brick tower and the red ridges of the Pavilion. Looking into the east entrance are the shophouses along the Chinese Street hung with lanterns. The two ladies who dressed in the 1920s European fashion style (at the bottom of the postcard) sharply contrasted the Chinese styled Pavilion.
