Carlton Ware was a pottery manufacturer based in Stoke-on-Trent. The company is known for its often rather garish tableware. This crested China dish features the lion logo of the British Empire Exhibition. Henry Taylor Robinson was the founder of Carlton China. He pioneered the production of coloured crest souvenirs in the 1900s.
