This postcard is printed with an illustration of the Chinese Street in facing east. Some depictions are probably inaccurate. For instance, the Chinese participants at the bottom right corner were depicted with knee-length tunic with wide sleeves. This traditional Chinese clothing style was no longer popular in Hong Kong in the 1920s.Other Chinese participants along the Chinese Street had a similar style. One of them was holding a red Chinese-style oil-paper umbrella. This forms a sharp contrast with the lady in short sleeves long dress holding a white umbrella (left).
