Chinesische Seidenweberinnen im Hongkong Pavilion (Chinese silk weaving in Hongkong Pavilion) This illustration was published in a German newsletter featuring different silk weaving methods around the world. The illustration shows the female workers in the Hong Kong Section at Wembley. Both workers were removing the thread from the silk cocoon and produce silk with the winding machine. The newsletter also introduced the silk manufacturing process in Japan. The illustration was drawn by British artist and illustrator William R.S. Stott (1897-1934).
