The General Post Office issued commemorative two stamps to commemorate the British Empire Exhibition in 1924. The red one is worth one penny while the brown one is worth 1½ pence. The stamps include the illustrations of King George V and a lion representing Britain. The same design was used when the stamp was reissued for the Exhibition in 1925. The stamps were originally sold at Wembley Park only, but later available across Britain. The total sales of these stamps were 13,214,491 (with a value of £67,409) and 3,545,128 (with a value of £18,053) in 1924 and 1925 respectively.
