The female workers from Tung Ying Hok Po (owned by Sir Robert Hutong and Lady Hotung) were organised from Hong Kong to Wembley to demonstrate the silk-making process at the Hong Kong Section. This postcard is part of a series featuring the silk production process. This photogravure postcard features shows two female workers removing silk from cocoons through silk spinning. This silk production method was adopted by Tung Ying Hok Po farming complex in the Kwu Tung, the New Territories.
