The female workers from Tung Ying Hok Po (owned by Sir Robert Hutong and Lady Hotung) were organised from Hong Kong to Wembley to demonstrate the silk-making process at the Hong Kong Section. This postcard is part of a series featuring the silk production process. This photogravure postcard features shows two female workers holding two trays of silkworms. Both of them dressed in loose-fitting Chinese-style garments with hair bound at the back.
