Some of the exhibits of the Hong Kong Section were given to the Imperial Institute after the British Empire Exhibition finished. The Imperial Institute was established in London in 1887. The building was located at Imperial Institute Road (now Imperial College Road) in South Kensington, and was descended from the Colonial and Indian Exhibition of 1886. The Institute was renamed to the Commonwealth Institute in 1958 and moved out. This building is now part of Imperial College London.
