The postcard photo shows that east entrance. Two lanterns were hung at the 'city gate'. Both Chinese and the English characters for 'Hong Kong' were written above the gate. The circular entrance below the 'city gate' leads to the Chinese Street. Looking into the Pavilion, the flags and signboards of the stores are also clearly captured.
