Hong Kong joined 1964-1965 New York World’s Fair. The Hong Kong Pavilion was designed with a gate tower, a palace with red column and green roof, a pavilion and several Chinese junks. The design shows strikingly similar architectural design with some other Hong Kong and Chinese pavilions in earlier exhibitions. Rickshaws were also shown in the illustration.
