The British Army organised a stand at the H.M. Government Pavilion at Wembley Park. Standing at the centre of this postcard is a land force officer with his dark blue formal uniform. The officer introduces the audience to the world behind the door. India was a British colony and Egypt was under the British military occupation in the 1920s. Pyramids, Great Sphinx of Giza and Taj Mahal were therefore displayed in the postcard as the symbols of the wide territory of the British Empire at that time.
